Bocarillo of Maasin City is a sweet delicacy made of grated young coconut meat. However, what differentiates the two are its ingredients – the Bukayo uses palm sugar, giving it a brown color; and the Bocarillo uses white sugar, milk, and eggs, giving it a white color. The original Bocarillo is made of coconut meat, but many more flavors are available today, such as ube, pineapple, durian, cheese, lemon, and langka.
