Authorities nab men on "pot session" in Talitay, Maguindanao

Three individuals were nabbed in a joint Anti-Illegal Drug operation of 19th Infantry Battalion, PNP Talitay, MILF 105th Base Command and LGU Officials of Talitay, Maguindanao on Thursday, April 7.

The joint operation was carried out after a tip by a concerned individual to a local MILF commander Haron Buisan.

A group of men were allegedly having pot session in the house of a certain Bontua Bangan at Brgy. Poblacion of the said municipality prompting Commander Haron Buisan to coordinate with the PNP, LGU and the Army stationed in the said municipality.

An hour later, authorities raided the house of Bangan and caught in the act of pot session were Victor Makasasa Maulana, 23 y.o., Dang Namil Karok, 25 y.o., and Mohamad Kamit Utto, 19 y.o., all residents of Datu Odin SInsuat, Maguindanao. Others were able to elude the arrest including Bangan.

According to Vice Mayor Kamid Buisan, Bangan have already surrendered to the police at the height of Oplan Tokhang last year.

Recovered from the suspects were sachets of suspected shabu, shabu paraphernalias, empty shells from a pistol, live ammunition, cellphone, and 300 pesos cash. Suspects were brought to the PNP station for further investigation and filing of cases.
