THE 82ND RECONNAISSANCE COMPANY, 8ID, PA WAS
ACTIVATED IN 15 JUNE 0F 1999 PURSUANT TO GO 370 HPA DTD 16 AUGUST 1999. IT WAS
PLACED UNDER THE OPERATIONAL CONTROL OF 802 INF BDE, PA AND WAS DEPLOYED and
ESTABLISHES ITS COMPANY HQS AT BRGY PALALE, MAC ARTHUR, LEYTE .
THE COMPANY CONSTANTLY MOVED AROUND THE PROVINCE OF LEYTE IN SUPPORT TO THE
BRIGADES ISO CAMPAIGN WITH CPT MENOR G BANUCAG (INF) PA AS THE UNITS FIRST
COMMANDING OFFICER.
IN THE YEAR 2000, TWO (2)
BATTALIONS OF THE DIVISION WAS REDEPLOYED TO MINDANAO
IN SUPPORT OF THE AFP’S CAMPAIGN AGAINST THE SPSG. WITH THE VACCUM CREATED, THE
UNIT WAS REDEPLOYED TO BRGY SAN EDUARDO, STA. RITA, WESTHERN SAMAR
AND WAS THEN PLACED UNDER THE OPERATIONAL CONTROL OF TASK FORCE LEYSAM.
IN SEPTEMBER 2000, THE UNIT WAS THEN TRANSFERRED TO BRGY
SAWA, BASEY, WESTERN SAMAR TO TAKE CONTROL OF CAFGU’S AND CVO’S LEFT BEHIND BY
THE 14IB, 8ID, PA WHICH MOVED TO MINDANAO .
IN JANUARY 2001, AS THE 52IB, 8ID, PA WAS RECALLED FROM
MINDANAO THE UNIT WAS RELOCATED TO BRGY URDANETA, LAVEZARES, NORTHERN SAMAR
UNDER THE OPERATIONAL CONTROL OF THE 803
INF BDE, 8ID, PA.
ON 23 AUGUST 2001, THE UNIT WAS REDEPLOYED TO THE ISLAND OF LEYTE
AT BRGY SANTOL, SAN MIGUEL, LEYTE .
ON 28 AUGUST 2001, THE UNIT WAS REDEPLOYED TO BRGY
CANTABA, STA. RITA, WESTERN SAMAR PLACED OPCON
ONCE AGAIN TO 802 BDE, 8ID, PA.
ON 12 MARCH 2002, THE UNIT ONCE AGAIN WAS PLACED OPCON TO
803 BDE, 8ID, PA. IT ESTABLISHED A SEPARATE COMMAND POST AT BRGY CERVANTES,
CATARMAN, NORTHERN SAMAR ON MAY 2002.
01 SEPTEMBER 2002, THE UNIT WAS REDEPLOYED AND PLACED
OPCON TO 801 INF BDE AND ESTABLISHED ITS COMPANY HQS AT BRGY POLANGI, TAFT, EASTERN SAMAR .
IN THE UNIT’S STAY IN TAFT, THE OPERATING TROOPS LED BY
2LT FRANCISCO BUTCH B CANZADO (INF) PA, THE UNIT MADE ITS MARK BY SUCCESFULLY
ROUTING THE CT’S AT BRGY MABINI, SULAT, EASTERN SAMAR WHICH RESULTED TO THE
RECOVERY OF SEVERAL HFA’S, SUBERSIVE DOCUMENTS AND BODY COUNTS.
ON 14 DECEMBER 2003, THE UNIT WAS ONCE AGAIN REDEPLOYED
TO BRGY PANAYURAN, CALBIGA, WESTERN SAMAR .
ON AUGUST 2004, THE UNIT WAS PLACED OPCON 803 BDE, 8ID,
PA AND LOCATED ITS COMPANY COMMAND POST AT CAMP
SUMOROY , BRGY DALAKIT, CATARMAN, NORTHERN SAMAR .
ON 16 SEPTEMBER 2004, 1LT ARISTOTLE F ANTONIO (INF) PA
TOOK COMMAND OF THE UNIT AS OF15 MARCH 2006.
ON 06 NOVEMBER 2004, THE SPECIAL ELECTIONS AT THE MUNICIPALITY OF SILVINO LOBOS WITH THIS UNIT AS THE
PRIMARY SECURITY FORCES.
ON 29 JANUARY 2005, OPERATING TROOPS LED BY 2LT MICHAEL A
ANDRES (INF) PA, EX-O/PLT LDR, THE UNIT EXEMPLIFIED ITS PERFORMANCE WITH THE
DISCOVERY OF CT’S CAMP AT BRGY QUEZON, CATARMAN, NORTHERN SAMAR AND SEIZURE OF
VOLUMINOUS SUBVERSIVE DOCUMENTS WITH HIGH INTELLIGENCE VALUE AND OTHER EFFECTS.
ON 04 OCTOBER 2005, OPERATING TROOPS LED BY 1LT ARISTOTLE
F ANTONIO (INF) PA, CO, MADE ITS MARK ON THE DISCOVERY OF CT’S CAMP AT GC 51PXP

NORTHERN SAMAR AND RECOVERY OF Bandolier
for M14 Rifle with five (5) Magazine Assembly and ninety six (96) live ammunition,
Binocular, Hand Grenade, Hand guard for M16 Rifle AND Jungle packs WITH
PERSONAL BELONGINGS.
ON 04 FEBRUARY 2006, THE UNIT WAS PLACED OPCON TO HQS
20IB, 8ID, PA AND ESTABLISHED ITS COY CP AT BRGY SALVACION, SAN ISIDRO,
NORTHERN SAMAR, TCP AT BRGY PILAR, OQUENDO DISTRICT, CALBAYOG CITY AND TPB AT
BRGY HINATAD, CATARMAN, NORTHERN SAMAR TO SUPPORT THE 803 BDE IMPLAN
“KALAMRAG”.
ON 16 MAY 2006,
1LT RODEL C BAYON (INF) PA TOOK COMMAND OF THE UNIT AS OF THIS DATE AS THE 9TH
COMMANDING OFFICERS SINCE THE COMPANY WAS BORN.
ON MAY 2006, THE UNIT WAS TASKED TO UNDERGO COMPANY
REFRESHER TRNG CL 02-06 AT HQS 8DTU, 8ID, PA FOR THE DURATION OF TWO (2)
MONTHS. AFTER THE SAID TRNG THE UNIT WAS REDEPLOYED TO THE AOR OF 803BDE, 8ID,
PA AND WAS TASKED TO COMPOSE WITH TASK FORCE “MOLAVE”.
ON 05 JULY 2007, THE UNIT WAS REDEPLOYED TO THE AREA OF
104BDE, 1ID, PA STATIONED AT CAMP BUD DATU, BRGY TAGBAK, INDANAN, SULU.
ON 25 JANUARY 2008,
THE UNIT WAS REDEPLOYED TO BRGY DALEH, TALIPAO, SULU AND PLACED OPCON TO 33IB,
1ID, PA TO DATE.
DESPITE THE FREQUENT AND RAPID REDEPLOYMENT TO ANY OF THE
8TH INFANTRY DIVISION, PHILIPPINE ARMY AREA OF RESPONSIBILTY, THE
UNIT CONSTANTLY MAINTAINED ITS READINESS AND OVER THE TIME HAS MATURED TO TAKE
WHATEVER TASK IT MAY BE CALLED ON, IN SUPPORT OF THE DIVISION MISSION. FOR “GOD
AND COUNTRY” AS THE UNITS MOTTO GOES.
